AL SAHAN RESORT
This project was done with the collaboration with AL-Ghwinem Consultants
Office in Al-Khobar. Located in a distinguished serene landscape in Abha, the sites
provide unique features in views and vistas, topography, rock formations and green
vegetation. These features have been utilized most in the planning and design of
the project components which includes a five-star hotel, luxurious resorts units,
rehabilitation centre, various shops for local crafts and souvenirs. The morphology
of the project is centred alongside the water ravine that penetrates the site. An
amphitheatre is provided at the centre. The project blends the traditional architecture
of Asir region with the rocky and topographic formation of the landscape.
Lighting & Environment:
Elegantly lit at night, the design enhances the landscape while ensuring seamless immersion through refined, environmental sensitive lighting.
Community Centric:
Open courtyards foster community interaction, while seamlessly blending architecture with nature in a refined, tranquil setting.
Art & Community:
The open theater stage cultivates a dynamic gathering space, harmonizing with its surroundings to enhance communal engagement and artistic expression.
Conclusion:
In essence, the open theater stage and playground stand as vibrant hubs of community engagement, harmoniously uniting culture, recreation, and the natural surroundings to enrich collective experiences.
